You, my dear, need a luxury wedding planner!
No need to worry, at Hot Shot Events Management, weddings and luxury events are our passion and ensuring that each client’s individual needs are met is always a top priority. Have a read through a few of the luxury wedding trends that we absolutely adore.
1. POTTED PLANTS & WHIMSICAL GREENERY
Every bride loves a fairytale wedding. Transform your wedding into a luscious green garden with gorgeous touches of wild greenery, succulents and potted plants (Yes, potted plants are now a thing)
Use potted plants as your centrepieces for a natural decor touch – give them to your guests after the event as a wedding favour, or take them to your own home and watch your love grow!
Pots wrapped in silk fabrics or a bit of Tulle, create a gorgeous and harmonious decor style that gets you in touch with the natural outdoor environment.
‘Green’ walls used as a backdrop behind your bridal table at your wedding reception, or even as an accent wall for guests to take are breathtakingly beautiful and becoming seemingly popular. Personalise it with your favourite saying, mantra or your names.

2. INTERACTIVE FOOD STATIONS, HARVEST TABLES & FOOD TRUCKS
Let’s be honest. The one thing that can make or break your wedding is the food. What a better way to celebrate your wedding day, than to have a feast fit for a King. Indulge in decadent interactive food stations – where guests can help themselves and dish food of their choice, with personal assistance from the Chef. There are so many different options that can be chosen. We co-ordinated an incredible wedding in November 2018 for a couple that opted for a Mexican and Indian style menu in the form of an interactive food station. Guests dished food for themselves as they pleased, and there was plenty of food for all! (See pics of their wedding here)

Harvest tables are what dreams are made of. A vast selection of tantalizing foods, along with fruits, cheeses, breads and more. Many bridal couples are going for this option, as it serves as an informal style of serving meals to your guests at your wedding, and it becomes one of two things: (1) A decadent display of delicious food and (2) an incredible social elements encouraging guests to socialize with one another.

Food trucks are our absolute all time favourite. By using this style of catering, you can give your luxury wedding a unique, rustic and contemporary style. Guests can nibble on snacks throughout the course of the evening, and they can grab a bite to eat when they are hungry. Super casual, yet it holds an element of sophisticated elegance, which is what every bride wants at her exclusive VIP wedding.

3. MOODY & COLOURFUL DECOR
The colour on every bride’s lips is burgundy and shades of purple. Rich, dark and moody colours to set an incredibly romantic tone at your wedding. Pair the dark colours with chunky golds, pops of lighter shades of pink and touches of greenery to finish off the incredibly stylish look. Magnifique!

4. UNEXPECTED GUEST ENTERTAINMENT
Bonus: Your guests can take the sketches home after as their ‘Favour’ / Thank you For Coming gift 🙂
5. GEOMETRICS
A touch of geometric elegance. We love that our brides are loving the geometric terrarium trends. They can add a touch of chic elegance to a rustic theme; or shape and height dynamic to simplistic decor styles. We’ve seen decor geometrics come in all shapes, sizes, colours and styles – Metal with glass inserts, metal without glass inserts, large dodecahedrons, small tetrahedrons, paper DIY geometrics, and SOOO much more!
6. DESTINATION WEDDINGS
Every bride has this wild idea that she would like a destination wedding. Be the destination Cape Town – with Table Mountain as the backdrop, or a Safari wedding in Pilansberg, or a beach wedding in Thailand, Greece or the Philippines – destination weddings are becoming more and more popular. Reduce your guest numbers, invite your nearest and dearest to your dream location, and say ‘I DO’ away from the hustle and bustle of your everyday lives! And, hey, since you have reached your destination, you might as well extend your stay and have a destination honeymoon! 😉
7. TRANSPARENT TOUCHES
Clear, transparent perspex or glass is making a true comeback to the wedding industry. We absolutely love all things transparent. Be it in the form of Perspex Ghost chairs, or a glass marquee that is fully kitted out with fairylights; glass tables in your beautiful venue; clear seating plans with vinyl printed guest names – adding transparent, clear or glass elements to your wedding is a great way to flaunt opulence and timeless style.
8. SUSPENDED CENTREPIECES
We are totally in love with these! Do a minimalist centrepiece on your guest tables, but have the main show piece suspended from the ceiling.
Have your planner do beautiful, loud and vibrant arrangements of your favourite floral elements, colours schemes and greenery to mesmerise your guests, and to add an extra unsuspected touch of ‘WOW’ to your reception.
Incorporate your floral/greenery bulkheads with hanging industrial naked bulbs, or hanging glass orbs with LED candles to complete the look – and you’re all set!
9. BLACK ACCENTS
All brides love doing something different – and a trend that so many brides are doing is incorporating the unorthodox ‘Black’ into their white wedding.
Be it through black lace on their wedding dress, to black and gold wedding invitations, black underplates, black cutlery, black candles, black glassware – just about anything can be enhanced with a touch of moody black hue.
10. CUTTING THE GUEST LIST
Weddings are becoming smaller and more intimate. Modern brides and grooms are leaving off the distant aunts and uncles that they haven’t seen in over a decade, and are choosing to only invite their nearest and dearest friends, family and loved ones to share in their special day with them.
Not only does this mean that numbers are reduced, but reduced numbers generally means that you have extra budget to spend on other elements, like your Honeymoon.
